WHO WE ARE
The LANL Major Subcontractors Consortium (MSC) is a centralized resource for Northern New Mexico businesses that do business with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Combined, MSC members employ thousands of Northern New Mexican residents and generates hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for the region every year.
FOCUS
The MSC focuses its effort on three core initiatives:
The core mission of the LANL Major Subcontractors Consortium is to positively impact the economy of the Northern New Mexican region through collaborative investment in qualified economic development programs and projects which will result in the diversification of Northern New Mexico’s economy and reduce its dependency on federal dollars. The MSC Grant Pool is at the core of this effort and is committed to supporting organizations that collaborate within their community to create jobs and strengthen the economy. Since 2006, the Grant Pool has awarded 48 separate grants to 22 organizations, totaling more than $625,000. For the last four years, Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) has matched MSC member donations to the grant pool. In 2016, LANS will match up to $30,000–a critical component to the growth of the Grant Pool. Read about the 2018 Grant Pool awardees HERE.
Beyond the Grant Pool, MSC members have collectively contributed more than $5 million to the Northern New Mexico economy over the past ten years. READ MORE

Wherever possible, we celebrate our members and showcase their contributions to the Northern New Mexico economy. We actively seek opportunities to connect our members directly with elected officials and other members. This allows our membership to collaborate and form working partnerships with each other. It also allows our members who operate smaller businesses leverage their resources and influence through a larger, collective organization.
